January was certainly a busy month for us floofs! We are now 8 months old and fairly settled in our routine, though we still need more training to become good citizens who listen to our parents! (Human note: We won’t hold our breath for that one…)
SNOW!!!!
We saw snow for the first time this month, and we loved playing in it! Gigi in particular was quite fond of it and would have stayed out in it for hours at a time if Mom and Dad hadn’t made her come in. Floofs don’t really get cold (or at least we don’t) since we have double coats, so we spent hours and hours playing outside in January.
Below are some photos of our winter adventures! Click any image to view it larger.
Valentine Photo Shoot
We had Valentine photos taken during the last week of January and can’t wait to share them with you! The photo shoot itself was “a circus” according to our mom – we get a little nervous at the photography studio and weren’t very cooperative. There are SO many smells in that place!
As if being in a strange place wasn’t bad enough, Mom made us wear sweaters. Can you believe that? We have these glorious floofy manes already and then she puts clothes on us?!?!? We both pulled our front paws out of the arm holes as much as possible when we weren’t running out of the room or peeing in the floor. Together we showed her what happens when you force us into sweaters!
Despite the trauma of the actual photo shoot, our photos turned out great! Amy Hourigan takes our photos and manages to get excellent shots even when we both keep running away the whole time. She told our mom she’ll be doing St. Patrick’s Day mini sessions so we’re already dreading our next trip to visit her…. At least by March it will be too warm for sweaters, right?
January BarkBox
BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for puppy toys and treats. We LOVE getting our BarkBox every month and seeing what surprises are inside! There is a different theme each month – this month we got the outer space box!
For $20, we get three toys (we had a promo for an extra toy since we subscribed for a year) and three treats. The space squirrel is definitely our favorite – we fight over it daily! – but the UFO squeaks super loud and scares the older dogs, so we get a kick out of that as well.
If you have dogs in your life, you should definitely check out BarkBox!
Website Launch
We have no idea why dogs need a website, but we sure were excited when Mom showed us how ours turned out! She builds websites for a living, so I guess she wanted to make something special just for us. She says when we are old dogs she and our dad will be glad they can go back and remember our adventures!
Surely we aren’t going to be as old as our brother, Apollo – he’s so grumpy and weird…. Our parents say our lives will pass way too quickly and that Apollo was young like us when they first brought him home. We don’t think about that too much, though, because right now we have shoelaces to chew, treats to eat, and things to discover!
What’s Next
Mom and Dad follow us around all the time with their boxes of light (which they won’t let us play with) making dumb noises so we’ll look at them. Mom always says it’s for Instagram, whatever that means. We have a feeling there will be lot more of that now that our website is finished!
We may be going to school in the spring, which doesn’t sound very fun. Mom says we need to learn to listen when she says words like “Leave it” or “Stay” instead of ignoring her, but we both think her expectations are a little high. Doesn’t she know floofs shouldn’t be tamed? We don’t want to be away from home for a few weeks so we’re hoping the humans forget about this crazy idea.
We have a ton of fun together and we can’t wait to see what’s coming next in 2018! Thank you for checking out our latest news!
